David Kelley
About David Kelley

Having worked his first jobs on farms alongside the Amish in his native state of Ohio, David’s core woodworking skills are rooted on the practicality of blending function and design. And although David holds a Master of Art, he attributes his formal design education to the Cleveland Institute of Art where he earned a BFA in Product Design having studied under many talented designers including "The American DaVinci" or the man known as the father of industrial design, Viktor Schreckengost (1906-2008).

Exhibitions & Sales

David is member of the Humboldt Woodworker's Guild, a consortium of woodworkers & craftspeople geographically based in Humboldt County, California. A unique design style is growing here, rooted in a philosophy of living and working in ways that use the wood truthfully.


David is also a past president of the Humboldt Woodworking Society.


David's work has been featured in fine galleries and fairs across the United States.
